Our Mission & Vision
Connecting people to faith
CCCD is a community of faith, hope, and love who believe God’s grace is available to anyone through faith in Jesus Christ. Together it is our mission to love God as we love and lead others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our Beliefs & Values
God
We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Humanity
We believe that Humanity, created by God and in the image of God, willfully sinned, and as a result, is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.
Salvation
We believe that Salvation is a free gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith.
The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, given a mission to love God as we love and lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Statement of beliefs:
Our core values are based on what we believe about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, Man, Salvation, the Bible, and the Church.
This is what we believe:
Core Values
We believe in the importance of developing our spiritual walk through these 5 areas:
Worship, Grow, Serve, Share, and Give.
Worship
Worship is the way we express our love, gratitude, and respect for God. Worship can take place individually or within a group. At CCCD, each week we host worship services so we can practice the biblical principle of meeting together to praise God as a community and to encourage each other in our faith. Times of worship may include music and singing, reading the Bible, praying, silence, and giving of an offering.
Hebrews 10:25
Grow
Growth is promoted through two key elements: studying the Word of God and building community. The Bible is God’s Word to all people, and it gives wisdom and insight so that we can grow as believers. Creating community can be as simple as joining a group, being a part of a Serve Team, or participating in a Bible Study. No matter your season of life, we have a place for you to connect and grow.
Acts 2:42-47
Serve
Serving is at the heart of what it means to be like Jesus. Service happens within the walls of our church buildings, but also in our homes, our neighborhoods, our communities, and around the world. We want each person at Hillside to be empowered and equipped to serve in areas that use their unique God-given gifts.
1 Peter 4:10
Share
Sharing is the most natural thing we can do as believers. As God changes our lives, we get to share that same hope and love with others. It might be a simple invitation to a worship service, or a conversation with a neighbor. We just share what God is doing in our lives and invite others to join us.
Romans 1:15-17
Give
Giving is a way of life. We want to be a generous community that lives life with open hands, always looking for what we can give away and who we can bless. That is a collective commitment and an individual commitment. As individuals and families, we practice tithing and strive to be good caretakers of our finances and resources, recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God.
Acts 20:25
Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
–Isaiah 55:6, NIV

Frequently Asked Questions
What do we believe about money?
God is our provider. He promises in Matthew 6:33 to provide for our needs. The Bible teaches that everything we have comes from God and belongs to Him. Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” Therefore, we are mere stewards of what God has given to us. Tithing is giving back to God what is already His. We return 10% back to Him.
Why should I give money to the church?
We recognize that Jesus talked more about giving than He did on any other subject. Matthew 6:21 says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Together, we work as a church to reach the lost. Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” The storehouse today is the local church you are attending. By partnering our monies together, God’s work is done more effectively.
How can I get a record of my giving?
You can find a record of your online giving by logging into the Givelify website: Christ Community Church of Dumas Giving and going to your giving history. You can request a copy of your traditional giving by contacting our Finance Team by email at christcommunitychurchdumas@outlook.com
What are my giving dollars used for?
Your gifts are used to fund God’s work through the ministries of the church. Ministry is done through Sunday and weekday services for adults and kids, and through supporting the local and global needs of those around us.
What is the difference between a tithe and an offering?
The word “tithe” means one-tenth. So when you tithe, you give one-tenth or 10% of your earnings. Tithing (10%) is the starting point of giving. Offerings are gifts given above the tithe. God has blessed some people financially who are able to give substantially more than 10% and still live comfortably.
What if we believe we can’t afford to tithe right now?
The Lord requires us to be faithful regardless of how much He has entrusted us. Luke 16:10 says “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” It is when we are having financial struggles that we can’t afford not to tithe. God wants us to trust Him in everything, including our finances. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, it always requires faith. Trust God by giving to Him even when it seems impossible and allow Him to show you His provision for your life. This may mean jumping right into a tithe of 10% or becoming a percentage giver and slowly building to 10%.
Does Christ Community Church of Dumas have a budget?
Yes. CCCD’s budget each year is determined based on the goals and objectives of each ministry area within the church.
Can I test the online giving system by giving one time?
Yes. There is an option to give a one-time gift. This is a great way to better understand how the system works.
How can I change my automated giving preferences?
